The National Registry of Aquatic Animal Health team had already seen functionality that approximated what they required in DFO’s GeoPortal, an Internet resource that provides a common entry point for the marine and DFO communities to access, extract, integrate and disseminate marine geospatial information. NRAAH developers approached DFO’s GeoPortal team to see how they could leverage the spatial capabilities of the GeoPortal and implement a realistic solution.

Using CGDI endorsed-standards, the NRAAH and GeoPortal teams arrived at solutions for all of their requirements.
