How do I use and implement a CGDI gazetteer service?

Before you implement a CGDI gazetteer service in your own application, it may be useful to view existing web components that make use of the CGDI gazetteer services.

For example, there is the “Look up a Postal Code” and “Find Place by Name” found on the GeoConnections Discovery Portal.

The “Look up a Postal Code” component uses the Postal Code Lookup Service; the “Find Place by Name” component uses the Canadian Geographical Name Service Server for Canadian place names and the World Place Name Gazetteer for international place names.

To simply embed these components in your own web application, you can use the following tag wizards:
