Module 7- FAQs
1. Is Geography Markup Language only for data? No. In addition to describing geographic features and attributes, GML can also be used to describe geospatial operations, query attributes and specify arguments. Nevertheless, GML is currently used primarily as an interchange format for geographic data. 2. Is GML an effective way to retrieve large volumes of spatial data? No. A GML document gets prohibitively large and is not an effective way to retrieve large volumes of data. |
